A local magazine featured Vietnamese farmers who had settled in Ohio. It was a wonder to me why and how, of all places, they had picked Ohio – the winters are long and severe – hardly like home!
The resilience and survival instinct of refugees are to be much admired. Perhaps I could take a lesson from them.
