One morning whilst reading the papers, a bright photograph of a racehorse caught my attention. This will make a nice painting,
I thought – the horse exuded so much energy! I looked at the caption – it was Funny Cide again – winning a second sweepstake! I had picked a double winner!

I was filled with optimism and secret happiness.  This was a good omen – I had just completed the last dose of the experimental vaccine and I knew I would be fine.

This painting remains one of my favourites.
