I decided I needed art lessons. Perhaps more satisfying progress would come with new techniques. Thus far I had been painting from pictures and photographs, and  my drawing skills were sorely limited. This "still life" was done in an afternoon at one of my classes.
I have not repeated the spontaneity of that afternoon – the rigidity and meticulousness of my training as an accountant is, to date, still very evident!
